Competition & Lottery

Interested teachers, parents, and legal guardians can enter their students in a competition or lottery to win a trip to New York City to see a performance of Hamilton. Students must be currently enrolled in grades 6–12 in the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Department of Defense Schools, and US Territories to participate in the competition or lottery. 

Competition Deadline: Closed on December 16, 2024

Lottery Deadline: Closed on February 14, 2025

The Competition

Teachers, parents, and legal guardians are encouraged to submit up to 5 of their best-written creative pieces. A video of the student(s) performing the creative piece is optional. We will select 10 competition winners each year who attend a Hamilton performance in New York City and receive Hamilton merchandise signed by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Entering the competition automatically enters the student in the lottery. The Competition closed on December 16, 2024.

The Lottery

Teachers, parents, and legal guardians are encouraged to submit an unlimited number of creative pieces. Each year, we will select 10 pieces at random as lottery winners. These 10 winners will be invited to New York City for a Hamilton performance. The Lottery closed on February 14, 2025.
